Program description

Youth Volunteers sends transactional text messages to parents, guardians, and authorized registrants who ask us to contact them by SMS. Messages may confirm a registration, request information, share application status, coordinate scheduling, or provide other updates directly related to youth volunteering.

How you opt in

You opt in by entering a mobile number on our registration form, selecting SMS or email and SMS as your response method, and checking the separate SMS consent box. The box is optional and is not preselected. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of volunteering.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies according to your registration and volunteer activity. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.

Opt out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. Reply HELP for help, or email support@umiyamatajiky.com. After opting out, you may opt in again through a new registration or by contacting us.

Privacy and data use

We use your mobile number and consent record to administer the volunteer program and send the messages described above. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share data with service providers, including Twilio, only as needed to deliver and support our messaging program. See our Privacy Notice.

Eligibility and changes

A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult should provide the contact number for a minor. We may change or end the SMS program, or update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page.
